Job Description: TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is looking for a talented ITS Systems Engineer I to join the team in Atlanta, GA.
Organization: TransCore is a leading provider of intelligent transportation system (ITS) software in North America. TransCore’s TransSuite Traffic Control System (TCS) software suite is deployed in over 50 cities.
Job Description: TransCore is looking for a System Engineer with knowledge of Traffic Engineering to support existing and new TransSuite users with the TransSuite TCS software. This position will be based at the TransCore Atlanta Technology Center located in Peachtree Corners, GA but will require occasional travel (approximately 15%) within North America.
Essential duties include the following, but are not limited to: The successful candidate for this System Engineer position will work with various TransCore clients and the TransSuite development team to solve client issues involving:
Diagnosis of Customer identified issues with the TransSuite operation or integration with field equipment.
Work with the TransSuite software development and QA teams to verify updated or new software.
Installation and update of TransSuite software in multiple environments
Provide customer training on the use of TransSuite software.Assisting clients and development staff with installation and configuration of field equipment such as:
Intersection controllers to function with TransSuite software.
Other field devices supported by TransCore TransSuite software such as:
Dynamic message signs
CCTV cameras
Diagnosing and correcting field communication problems
Diagnosing and correcting field equipment configuration problems
Create and maintain clear and complete documentation of the configuration at each site.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering, or related fields. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge in the following areas:
Modern intersection controllers based on NEMA and/or Caltrans 2070 platforms.
TCP/UDP/IP network configurations and how to use Wireshark.
Network management technologies such as SNMP
SQL
PowerShell
