Senior Estimator
Overview
Control Technologies desires a highly motivated individual with experience in Estimating in the ITS and Signalized Intersection Field. The ideal candidate will be the go-to resource for our team as it relates to quotes and bidding opportunities. This individual will be responsible for developing quotations and sending them to the correct company or agency prior to the bid date. These quotes will be for our product line which is a wide variety of state-of-the-art transportation products and solutions.
General Job Description
This position is for a Senior Estimator in the Signalized Intersection and ITS industry. The person fulfilling this role will be responsible for the preparation and follow-up on quotations that are provided to our existing and future customers. This person is required to live in Florida and work out of our Sanford, Florida office. Additional details include:
Accurately understand project Blueprints (Plans) and Specifications
Work Independently with limited direct supervision
Work with the CT sales and technical team, public agencies, consultants, contractors, and state personnel
Maintain quotation files per company procedures

Control Technologies is responsible for sales and support of these state-of-the-art product offerings, and that includes providing quotations to potential customers.

Job Requirements
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Ability to work in the USA.
Computer-literate
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of a CRM system
Knowledge of and ability to understand industry technical items/terms.
Articulate in communication via phone, email, and in-person.
Excellent punctuality and attendance
Strong attention to detail
Strong technical background in the transportation sector.
Ability to work independently and with other team members.
Working with public agencies, consultants, and contractors.
Knowledge of Signalized Intersections, ATMS, and ITS Systems, and their uses within the industry.
Ability to be professional under all situations.
Experience/Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
Previous experience as an Industry Estimator
Strong presentation, and communication skills
Previous experience in supporting staff.
Previous experience in working with Signalized Intersection Equipment, ATMS, and ITS systems.
Desire to learn new and exciting state-of-the-art transportation products.
Have technical aptitude for quoting our products and applications.
Desire to understand the industry and grow with the state-of-the-art product offering.
Desire to have an active role in the growth of Control Technologies.
Compensation/Benefits
Full-time salary position, based on experience.
