Job Title: Traffic Services Engineer
Job Description : Assists assigned department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s).
Essential Responsibilities:
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.
Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Applied knowledge of Transportation Engineering Standards such as MUTCD, Design Standards, Traffic Engineering fundamentals, ITS design standards, etc.
Perform data analytics using safety and traffic operations data with tools such as Excel, SAS, Python, SQL, machine learning, etc.
Use of transportation simulation software such as HCS, VISSIM, Synchro, etc.
Use of AutoCAD/Microstation
Develop presentations, white papers, reports, performance measures reports, data
Develop countermeasures and applications/algorithms for safety applications.
Work in the multimodal transportation systems - freight, transit, ped-bike, and cars
Working independently with minimal supervision.
Developing detailed cost estimates and construction specifications.
Developing GIS-based solutions and mapping
Preparing detailed and managerial dashboards using various tools such as Excel, Tableau, MS BI
Understand and consult the client on their needs
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Engineering
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering 2 years relevant experience
