Traffic Engineer-in-Training (Entry-Level)

Role Overview:
Metric Engineering is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer-in-Training (Entry-Level) to join our Traffic group in our Jacksonville, Florida office. This individual, under direction of a Project Manager or Team Leader, as well as utilizing independent judgment, performs day-to-day project work producing technical deliverables for traffic and transportation engineering projects. Responsibilities may include performing field duties outside of the office in support of projects, including field verifications of existing conditions, signal retiming and proposed traffic control device installations.
Day-to-Day:
Preparation of traffic engineering reports, conceptual design plans and maps/graphics
Provide technical support and task management for transportation projects
Delivering quality, timely services and products to clients within budget
What you should bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
Engineer Intern (EI) Certification preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Traffic Engineering principals in the HCM, MUTCD, HSM, ITE and AASHTO Manuals
Familiar with FDOT Guidelines, Design Standards, and Manuals
Experience with MicroStation is preferred
