Job Title: Traffic and Emerging Technologies Engineer
Essential Responsibilities:
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.
Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
Able to self-sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience

Primary Focus Will Include:
Support client with achieving program objectives
Lead assignments with limited oversight from Project Managers
Develop program strategies for Arterial Management, Connected Vehicle and Managed Lanes initiatives
Create presentations, reports and estimates for various projects
Review literature and research in the evaluation of new policies and guidance for emerging applications
Coordinate with other functional areas within the client organization
Support the development of procurement documents and the management of selected consultants and contractors
Collaborate with staff on the development of performance evaluation, including GIS-based dashboards and other systems
Possess technical knowledge in intelligent transportation systems, software, and engineering
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
Knowledgeable in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
